2016 National Survey of US Villages
Get insights into the Village model—a grassroots effort by older adults to age in place in their communities. Researchers conducted a survey in which US Villages were asked to report details on their organization. Seventy-four percent of Villages responded with information on their Village model.

In 2010 there were only about 35 operational Villages. This number increased to 155 Villages in operation at the start of 2016. There are reportedly dozens more in development. Estimates suggest that almost 25,000 older adults are being served by Villages in the United States.
