The State of Seniors Housing 2012

This research report on operational performance in seniors housing (collected in 2012 for performance results for the 12 months ending on 12/31/2011) includes data from nearly 2,000 senior apartments, independent living communities, assisted living residences and continuing care retirement communities. Every region of the continental US is represented among survey respondents. The report contains all pertinent financial and performance measures including resident turnover and length of stay, annual financial results per occupied unit, staffing ratios and labor costs, other key cost items, key financial performance indicators and more. This report is relevant for owners, operators, lenders, investors and other professionals interested in the market-rate seniors housing business.

The State of Seniors Housing 2012 is a collaborative research project between the American Seniors Housing Association, National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing and Care Industry, LeadingAge, Assisted Living Federation of America, and National Center for Assisted Living.
