Last year, Mather’s More Than a Café customer Annie Robinson was a recipient of Beautiful Minds, a campaign of the National Center for Creative Aging (NCCA) and Martek Biosciences that draws attention to the importance of brain health. (See our earlier story on Ms. Robinson by clicking this link.) Beautiful Minds celebrates older adults who stay mentally, physically and socially active. We’re proud of Ms. Robinson’s accomplishment and would love to see another More Than a Café customer win acclaim for his or her beautiful mind in 2011!
If you or someone you know if age 55 or older, and keeping your brain healthy by living well, consider submitting a nomination through www.beautiful-minds.com. The NCCA will be selecting 10 individuals who, like Ms. Robinson, are taking positive actions for the health of their brains. The winners will receive a $500 donation to the charity of their choice, and an additional prize package worth $500, and have their inspiring stories and tips shared on the Beautiful Minds website. Nominations are being accepted from now to May 13, 2011, and for further application rules, visit the Beautiful Minds website.
